Eggless makmur cookies

Today I am going to share my Makmur cookie recipe. I have been baking this treat every Deepavali for many years. The cookies are buttery. They melt in your mouth. Inside, there is a peanut filling that gives a lovely nutty taste. This has always been a favourite during the festive season and in my family.

πŸ”₯Preheat oven to 150Β°C

  1. Mix the ground peanut & ground sugar powder. Now the filling is ready.

  2. Add margarine, food colouring, and wheat flour. Mix until the dough becomes soft.

  3. Take a small ball of dough and press it flat. Add the peanut filling in the center and fold the dough to close it. Shape it like a leaf. Use a baking clip or fork to create lines by gently pressing on the surface.

  4. Preheat the oven to 150Β°C and bake for 30mins.

  5. Take it out of the oven and cool down the makmur cookies.

  6. After the makmur cookies are cooled down , sprinkle with the ground sugar & enjoy it.
