Eggless sugee cookies
Hello friends, Today, I am going to show you this sugee cookie recipe that I bake for every Deepavali. These sugee cookies will melt in your mouth and are truly addictive.
Estimated time
1 hour
Total amount of sugee cookies
Approximately 100 - 150 cookies ( Depending on how large you roll the sugee balls )
Ingredients
- 500g Plain flour
- 1 1/2 cup self raising flour
- 250g Sugee flour (Semolina)
Blender it in pulses 3 times
- 250g sugar powder
- 3 tsp Baking powder
- 400G Ghee ( melt it )
Method
π₯Pre-heat oven to 160Β°C
Sift all the Flour.
Add the sugar powder and the sifted flour together in the bowl, and mix well.
Add the melted Ghee slowly to the mixed flour until it forms a dough.
Once the mixture becomes a dough, roll it into small balls and gently press the top of each sugee cookie.
Bake in the oven at 160Β°C for about 18 minutes, depending on the oven. To check if the sugee cookie is done, flip it over. A light brown colour on the bottom and small cracks on the top are signs that the cookie is baked.
Once it is done, take it out of the oven and place it onto a cooling rack, rest for 5- 10 minutes.
Enjoy these sugee cookies that slowly melt in your mouth. π
